Saturday at NHC

Christine did not have a good night.  She woke nauseous and has been sick twice this morning.  We may need to go back to St. Thomas Hospital for observation if she does not improve.  She is incapable of rehabilitative therapy at this point.  The Doctor just came in to evaluate her.  He is going to take her off one medication that may be causing the nausea.  We will see if she improves.  She is resting now.

The band did great last night at the McEwen vs. Houston County basketball games.  Our girls were defeated and our boys won.  I saw Mark Beal, the Superintendent of Schools when I taught in Houston County 11 years ago.  He was very complimentary of the band as were several Houston countians.  Go Warriors.

Two pounds down on the Wheat Belly diet.  No wheat products.  So far, so good.  Super Bowl weekend will be tough but I will not succumb to pizza ordering temptation.

UK is playing Missouri today.  The wildcats need to step it up.  They lost to LSU on Tuesday; a game they never should've lost.  Time to get back on track.  They are playing with great energy so far.  Looks like they got a message from Calipari.  He tweaked the starting lineup, starting Johnson instead of Cauley-Stein.  Let's see how this works.  Go Big Blue.

We may have snow Sunday night.  I wouldn't mind that one bit.  Great job, great kids, but the teacher in me loves snow days.  We have 13 built into our schedule.  It's use them or lose them.  My vote is use them.

Stay safe,
Jeff
