Sunday at NHC

It's been quite a week in the Martin household. Christine was admitted to the Vanderbilt Hospital Critical Care unit on Valentine's day. She had been at NHC Dickson for 19 days following her hip surgery at St. Thomas hospital and had developed pneumonia. She stayed at Vandy for a week and was released back to NHC on Friday. She is eating much better now and has been cleared to bear weight on both legs. She will begin an intense therapy program on Monday. Hopefully, she will be able to return home soon. She has not been at home since January 15th.

Meanwhile, two of my students from McEwen HS, Grace Worley and Anthony Hall, participated in the Governor's Honor Band at APSU this weekend. They did an excellent job and represented our school well. I am looking forward to returning to school tomorrow. I've been out all week and am missing the kiddos. Special thanks to David White for subbing for me last week.
