I'm sitting here by the fire watching the National Championship game. Auburn is up early. It's bitterly cold here in middle Tennessee. The low tonight is going to be 2 degrees. We are out of school tomorrow and may be out again on Wednesday due to the cold.
We go see the doctor tomorrow about Christine's hip. She fractured her knee in a fall back in September. They put it in a cast then. She fell again in her cast about two months ago. She thought she just pulled some muscles, but as it turns out, she fractured her hip at that time. They will probably do surgery next week. She is resting now.
When I haven't been caring for my wife, I've been marketing my Funeral music CD to funeral homes today. I've sent out the following message to about 500 funeral homes:
My name is Jeff Martin. I have recently recorded "Precious Memories", an instrumental CD of music specifically designed for funeral homes. Purchasing the CD gives you permission to play it royalty free as background music in your funeral home. If you wish to use the music in video tributes, please contact me concerning licensing options at jmartinpiano@gmail.com
If you'd like, you can listen to samples of my music or purchase it at:
http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/martinjeff5
You can also download the CD from iTunes at:
http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/precious-memories/id364844355
Some funeral homes have purchased multiple copies to give to families as a memento.
If you have questions, please email me at jmartinpiano@gmail.com
Thanks for your time,
Jeff Martin

So far I've sold two on the day. Hopefully more sales will follow. It's kind of like fishing. Some days they bite, some days they don't.
I love my job as a high school band director, but I also love snow days. Maybe we will have another one on Wednesday. If so, I'll be out ice fishing on the internet.
Stay safe,
Jeff
