Christine's Surgery

I'm blogging from room 513 in St. Thomas Hospital West in Nashville. Christine's partial hip replacement surgery went well yesterday. She went in at 2pm and got to her room last night about 9:30pm. She is in pain and on meds. She is resting now. Dr. Dinkins has already been in this morning and was pleased. I like him. He seems very compassionate. We are waiting on a bed to open up on the seventh floor so that Christine can have her dialysis. We are on the osteo floor right now and they are not equipped to handle peritoneal patients. It looks like she will be in the hospital for two or three days. When she leaves here she may go to a rehab facility in Dickson or she may be able to rehab from home. We are waiting on the team to hear from insurance before making that decision.
